Your art gets plenty of likes and nice comments. But what about sales?

Look past the feel good for a second and consider that those likes and comments are mostly from friends, family and others who are also trying to sell their art. Are those people likely to buy your art? Well, maybe Mom might buy something. What we need is qualified buyers--people with buying intent. We need potential buyers clicking through to our art. But how?

I have been there. Countless posts on different social media sites had cost me lots of time and effort with hardly any results. Nothing really worked until I discovered (by accident) the huge potential of a site that I mostly ignored: Pinterest. Did you know that 55% of Pinterest users use the site to look for things to buy? Wow! Plug me into that!

How do we access this vast potential? Yes, I had a Pinterest account, but I had no idea what I was doing. Like a dog on a bone, I dove in and learned all I could learn. Let me now shorten your learning curve so you too can get the right eyes on your art!

In the first chapter of my course I will describe in detail why I fell in love with Pinterest (Hint: I made $442 in art sales on Fine Art America in one day) and why it changed everything. Sick of wasting your time with social media?

Struggling with ‘promoting’ your art on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and investing hour after hour of your time without seeing any sales pour in? Most people are on Facebook to connect with their friends -- or watch those cute cat videos.

They are not in a buying mood most of the times so your promos may just disturb them.

Are you using Instagram? Great app, love it. I always get lots of nice hearts and even some comments when I post a new pic. But did you check how many people click through your Artist Website? Almost no one.

On the other hand, did you know that 87% of pinners have purchased something they saw on Pinterest (Source: Millward Brown)? This is amazing! People use Pinterest to get inspired, they collect pins to help them with their purchasing decisions. Brands are really welcome on Pinterest and Home Decor is one of the most popular categories.

How would it feel to get great sales, again and again?

After I started to take Pinterest seriously, I had a couple of very nice sales during the Holiday shopping season 2016, here are a few of them:

A revenue of $744.03 from online sales (via Fine Art America) in less than three weeks was nothing I experienced in my Pre-Pinterest age. Had it been easy to get these results? Heck no! I invested lots of time in reading everything I could find and trying out many different things. I felt stuck several times because some of the articles I found online were full of outdated, inaccurate or even completely wrong information. To put it politely, they were well-meant and probably a fit for bloggers, but of very little help in selling art with Pinterest.

It took me months to write down everything I know, condense and rewrite it and put in a logical order. I had an editor and some beta testers that helped me test and refine the course. Dozens of Fine Art America Artists trusted me enough to buy the finished course so you will be in good company if you decide to join them. These are some snippets of their testimonials, scroll down to the bottom of this page to read them all in full length:

“If your story sounds anything like mine, this is the course you need! I had been posting my photography on Fine Art America since 2014 and never had a sale on that site. When I posted on Facebook and other social media sites people seemed to love my work... I would get lots of comments and Likes but still no online sales. I did sell some pieces at art shows and I thought my work was at a level that should sell but I had no idea how to promote my work. When I first heard about this course on using Pinterest for marketing I was quite intrigued. I knew nothing about Pinterest, but I knew Matthias Hauser from some social network sites, and I always admired his art... and more important, I knew that unlike me, he was successful in selling on Fine Art America. I needed to learn his "secrets"! Pinterest is not like other "social network" sites. In fact it is not really a social network at all... Matthias explains this and everything else you need to know in order to be successful. The course is very well written, entertaining and concise. It was fun to work through the lessons and I learned new and useful information in every chapter. Most important: MY FIRST SALE ON FAA CAME FIVE DAYS AFTER I STARTED THIS COURSE! Course rating: 5 stars out of 5 because they won't let me rate it any higher! Thank you very much Matthias Hauser! ”

“I have joined Pinterest 4 years ago, and I did it because some of my friends were using Pinterest. I didn't really know do I need Pinterest or not, but I made couple of boards and I made a few pins. That's it, I never was pinning or repinning, I didn't join any group boards. I really didn't understand Pinterest. For couple of years I wasn't even login into my account. Then yes, almost a year ago I found out that Pinterest is one of the marketing tools. But I didn't know anything about it. And even after I have joined to a few group boards I kind of didn't like Pinterest. Still, I didn't know how does it work. So, there was no doubt of buying the Course "How to sell more art with Pinterest". My results of doing this Course are that I joined to a few group boards, I'm combining multiple pictures and art products, my profile page and my boards have proper descriptions, it's all organized now and look more professional. I have learned about what is the perfect pin and rich pin, about Pinterest Analytics Page, which is helpful to see and to know what performs better, or which pin is the leader. Plus, there are some other tools in the course it is good to know about (Canva, Tailwind, BoardBooster). What I like about the Course is that I can go back and forward to any lesson to refresh some parts (still learning and trying to use all suggestions in there). And I love discussions in every lessons where I could ask questions and read questions of other artists and get answers. I would recommend this Course to anyone who wants to learn and need to learn about how to use Pinterest as a powerful tool in marketing. I felt no pressure at all in learning this Course. There no deadline. The Course is easy to understand and interesting to read! And I love pinning and repinning! Thank you very much, Matthias, for the great lessons!”

“As a beginner artist and generally as a curious person :) I had to look for different sources for the methods of selling art (online offline all). I have reviewed lots of free sources and was not planning to pay any money at the beginning, I knew that at some point I would have to. But as all our resources are limited I was really careful in what I would invest both my time and money. As there are really many sources of information for pinterest (really good and free ones too) it was not an easy choice, at some point it seemed that I would even not need to pay anything as there are many free sources. But I Have finally figured my mind around this course for 3 main reasons: 1. The course is complete step by step guide - All those free materials online come in pieces - I looked for many and could not find one which would guide me through everything step by step. e.i. there are lots of great videos and blogs about separate topics, sometimes they are covering more than one topic - but I simply could not find one complete course. 2. The course is affordable - Compared to other payed courses this one was really not expensive. 3. The extra questions raised are answered - I have come across course organiser Mathias on FFA forum where I have raised some topics, referring Pinterest Marketing, on which I really needed answers and he has helped me, so I knew within the course there would be somebody to clear me on other challenges I would come across. Basically I have received what I was hoping for: an affordable course which was full step by step guide and with an instructor who would have help me in case of trouble. I have not benefited monetarily from it yet, actually I have not received any monetary benefits for my art at all from any sources (I am really fresh artist I have only about 30 images there :) and It is all I have ever done in this sphere), but for me it was a huge help actually a release in terms of time I would have to spent. The course has saved me really valuable amount of time. ”
